Default B/W Feeding the birds

I'm not sure if this goes into wildlife as this is from a city scene (my first critique, of course.)

EXIF-
Canon EOS 400d
Exposure - 1/800
Aperture - f/5.6
ISO Speed - 400
B/W conversion in Adobe PS/LR

Your thoughts.

Moreover, my EXIF data absolutely says f/5.6 but i'm skeptical.

I'm no expert but to me the background is too busy and I wish the top bird had not been cropped out of the picture.

I am no way an expert but i have a few points:
  • The texture on the skin is well done in B/W but i think more clarity might help to make it more dramatic
  • I agree the background is a bit too complex so maybe aperture around F3 might help
  • I think the middle bird and the hand can pose a nice photo so shallow DOF should place a focus on the tip of the finger and the eyes of the middle bird
  • In this point nothing u can do really but i think if the middle bird can turn around a bit to reveal its eyes that would add more to the theme of the photo
  • I also agree the top bird should either be fully included or completely deleted but that's why bird shot is hard coz u usually have no control on their behaviour

Hope i make some valid points
