Well i just got my camera last Friday im learning lots taken with canonef24-70mm thru a window and edited with canon DPP hopefully im on the right track I know i need to improve on my editing that will take some time

With both pics your timing is great.
However with both pics nothing is real sharp. Are these pics crops from the original? I feel 1/320 shutter speed is not high enough to stop the motion of the bird in the first pic. Try around 1/800. But the feeder should be. I think the focus is a bit off, especially critical when shooting at F2.8. You have very narrow DOF Given to same lighting conditions I would bump the ISO up to 1600 and be shooting at around 1/800~1/1000 @ F5.6~F6.3 This will give you a bit more of ability to "freeze" the action and give you a bit more DOF. What focusing mode & point were you using?

Thanks for the tips Richard.
I will adjust again and try tomorrow yes its a crop from the original i only have 24-70 mm lens so its challenging to get crisp clear after coping image and im shooting threw window but your advice will certainly help i will post again tomorrow and see if its better. Thanks Again for the tip Marc |
