Default Beginner.

I finally bought a real camera two days ago. And Yesterday I went out and just took a couple pictures. I've never taken a photography class, or read anything about what makes pictures good or interesting. I just took these the way I thought looked great!

However, I'm sure they aren't "great", and I'd appreciate any constructive criticism.

Thank you

For the first photo you shouldn't have cut off his nose. That is a bit distracting to me. In the second picture you could have lowered the camera and moved it to the left a bit to get a better angle. However I am not a pro, this is just my opinion. I am still learning as well. It is a great start!
