Taken with a Nikon D70 camera. Not sure of specific settings, I'm still learning how to write all of those kind of things out... for now... it's one that was taken... it was a very fast set of photos... and this was one of the better, and I made it black & white.
I came upon the cat sitting on a post, and I grabbed my camera, ran, and began taking photos. The whole thing just seemed... I dunno... a little perfect. ![]() Any thoughts on the photo, how it could have been improved? Good points, bad points, whatever? |

I like it the only critique is that one side of the face is in shadow. Its hard to take photos of cats on the move as they do their own thing. What does she look like in colour?
Cute cat!

Here's the same photo uncropped and in color. I had made it black and white and cropped it to 8x10 so that I could enter it into the local stock show.
I did notice that shadow... afterwards. Like I said... it was a very fast set of photos, I saw an opportunity and ran for it... not thinking over lighting and settings and all...

the original is just too dark, I have the same problem when photographing dogs and cats, they are great posers, but it is very hard to turn them on the right light and stuff beacuse you usually have just a few seconds
I think that maybe using a low flash would help fill this, but I am a newbie, hope someone more experienced will help us both about this |
