First of all- what a flippin adorable pup, and those eyes are steller!

One thing that bothers me is part of the shadow is cut off, could make the photo more interesting. I usually dont like shots of pets from above, most folks are lazy and dont wanna get down to eye level. It works for this photo but keep that in mind for the next one

I love the blur of the ground/background! The puppy's eyes are gorgeous!

But I agree with windrider86... The cut of shadow is king of annoying, and I can see a more playful emotion could be aroused if the photo was taken on the level of the puppy. The viewer would then feel like they're more "in" the photo.

Keep shooting =)

He is a cutie.

Agreed on cutting off the shadow. Wonderful job with the focusing!

The blue eyes are beautiful. Too bad they have to compete with the shadow which is an even brighter blue.

Very nice shot. The pups eyes are really cool.

If the OP gets lower to be on the puppy's level would that make the shadow less of a factor?

I agree with the others. The angle works for this image (usually doesn't). Including the shadow might have been better. The color cast to the shadow detracts from the dogs eyes....

To add, I think the crop is wrong, not bad but the pup should have been on the rt side....

Here's a quick take on fixing what I could...
