Hows the shots?

Its my first post @ DPS.
I clicked this pic using my Canon SX20is camera. Though its not that powerful but I love the pic quality..

Lets see if others have the same view or not :-)

I would:
1) crop out the stick on the left side, it's not necessary and draws attention away from the parrot
2) increase the contrast or black level to bring out the individual feathers of the parrot
