Default Mama and her Cub--Composition and Exposure?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I figured since it was an animal this was the closest I could get to it.

The picture is a little statuette I have in my living room. I know the figure is extremely dirty, but I'm wondering about the composition of the photo? I tried to get the mama bear's eye on the line that would mark the right hand third, but what do you guys think?

Also, I was playing with long exposures that day. The exposure on this one was 30 seconds, but I'm wondering--it still looks slightly underexposed to me. Do you guys agree?

Yes, I definitely agree that it's underexposed.

I like the way you composed it. But I think the focus may have drifted off the eye somehow (it's not the sharpest spot on your image).

Cool little figurine!

Let's try this. I just got a copy of Lightroom, and while I'm still playing around with it, I did figure out how to work with the exposure a little bit. :-)
