Default Hawk on an electric cable needs critique

IMG_9644 cs4 LR

This was taken in Richmond Hill, ON, Canada. The hawk (red tail hawk) was sitting on the cable along a road, and she/he let me come quite close (about 20 meters/60ft).
I cropped it, removed some other electrical cables on the left and I used luminescence tool in Light Room.

Any comment critique is most welcome.

Nice shot. I think you could safely crop most of the sky on the left. A square crop would probably look fine.

Thanks for the feedback I will give it a try after work.

I originally wanted to give him somewhere to fly, eventhough he is not looking there in that emptyness.

Default square crop

Hawk square

I like it too like that, for the computer desktop I'll use the wide one though.

Thanks.
