Default Fox on the rocks

Hi all,

Here's a shot I took when I got my camera two years ago. Back then I was not shooting in raw and its one of my first edit in Lightroom. ( I wish I could go back there now and redo the shot properly Its not the nicest fox ever, but there is something in this picture, some fragility in its look maybe.

Took the shoot on top of Mount Jefferson, New Hampshire (US). What do you think of the composition? I was not sure how to put it. Thanks for your feedback!

Camera: Nikon D40X
Exposure 1/250 sec
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal lentgh 135mm
ISO: 200

Thanks!

Karl

I like this. The colors, saturation, contrast are great. I do see what you mean about fragility. The only *problem* (if you want to call it that,) that I see is that the back of the tail is cut off. But, of course, when you photograph wild creatures, it's hard to get them to stand still and to pose exactly where you want them to! So, considering that your subject is the fox, I think it's totally OK that he/she isn't all inside the frame!

Great work :-)

Great photo. I wouldn't change anything.

I like this too, colours and saturation are really great. Could maybe lose a little of the left but not too much, pity about the tail but the clarity of the shot I think makes up for the small bit of missing fur. I'd certainly be happy if this was my shot

Good settings and like the contrast treatment. Well done.
