Default Spider on its web

I took this photo outside on my balcony. Do you think the lighting is alright? How's the composition?

Yikes, I hate spiders! Nice shot though.

I like way the light hits the web. I just wish the creepy spider was facing the opposite direction, so the he was looking into all that space at the bottom.

Thanks! I actually hate spiders, too... but I thought it was a cool shot anyway! Actually, the spider is facing down towards the space, but it's really hard to tell.

This is an fantastic shot -- wow!

The only thing that mars it for me (only very slightly, mind) is the line running vertically in the background, separating the light from the dark -- it just takes my eye off the spider a little.

But that's only a detail; it's a wonderful shot.

Awesome shot, really love the way the spider looks like its about to jump on something.
At first i thought the spider was a little over exposed but at a second look it actually suits the picture perfectly.
I agree with the minor detail of the line seperating the light from the dark but i think its just part of the photo and it works well.

I like the line in a way. The highlights on the web fit with the gray background to create one unified shape, with the spider standing out in the remaining dark area.

Reminds me of an abstract color/shape study painting...
