Lavender + bees

there were a lot of bees buzzing around the lavender plants in my garden so i decided to try get a shot of them. please comment! i think it might be slightly out of focus?

Yeah, looks like the focus is more on the flowers and not the bee. I think it would also help to get the bee from a different angle instead of from behind.

The flower looks more in focus than the bee to me also. I would have thought shooting at f 7.1 would give you sufficient DOF to get both in focus, but apparently not at that distance. Looks like you may have to practice your "quick manual focus" technique!
