Default Shark!

Shark

Camera Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Exposure 0.02 sec (1/50)
Aperture f/3.5
Focal Length 30 mm
ISO Speed 1000
Exposure Bias -2/3 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

This was from a tank at the New York Aquarium, photographed through glass. What I like about this shot is the lighting from below, which is actually reflected light from the bottom of the tank. I wanted to make the shark look powerful and menacing. Any thoughts on the lighting would be appreciated (or any other aspect). Thanks.

This is an amazing shot! How were you able to reduce the glare of the glass on the tank?

I was at the right angle, I guess. There was a color cast caused by the glass, but I got rid of that through adjusting the white balance using Canon Digital Photo Professional. I also increased the contrast and the color saturation just a bit.
Thanks

I think the lighting from the bottom makes the shot, as it highlights his teeth, which is the most menacing part of him. Great shot.
