Our couple lab mixes, Hudson and Izzy. Just getting started with photography with a new Nikon D3000. I think this actually turned out ok.

The things changed to the original was:
1) I cropped the edges to bring more focus to Hudson's face and then having Izzy balance the other third of the image
2) upped the contrast some to try and beef up more of the blacks and shadows (they're both stark black)
3) completely took down the saturation for b/w finish

I have a couple questions -
1) I'm trying to learn lighting and using what I have for now since I don't actually have any lights I can use. This was taken next to our sliding glass door where the sun was shining in. Wondering if the lighting seems ok?
2) Is the contrast too dramatic?

Thanks - sorry for not posting the right stuff the first time!

ISO speed - 400

hey, jeff.....

i'd like for you to take a minute and read through our faq's and the rules for critique....for a well informed suggestion, our members need to know your exif....ie shutter speed, aperture, and iso settings......also, i'd like for you to take a minute to come up with a specific question.....that's as easy as telling us what you like or don't like about your image.....

thanks so much....
