Default Chipmunk chow time

Hi, I took this photo some time ago. On first looks it seems fine, but if you look carefully the chipmunk is not really very sharp. It seems like parts of it like the face are sharper than its forepaws. The whole thing has a "soft" look. How can I get the whole animal in sharp focus without losing the DOF?

Thanks,
Bindu

I absolutely love the shot! I might not have the 'eye' yet (Just starting ), but I don't think the difference is really noticeable or even bad. I also like how the 'bread?' is in focus too, would've been better if the piece of bread on far right was in focus though.

Just my 2 cents .

Thanks for your comment. I I don't know, but maybe if I shifted my focus to the right a little, maybe I would have got the bread-cake in focus. Thank you anyway!
