i love chasing butterflies...(photographically speaking)....they can be hard to catch....you have a lovely shot here.....i have found that since they are often out in mid-day sun and can be back lit, i use my pop-up flash to give some front light to them....also, they are a great opportunity to capture both the butterflies and the flowers they feed on....kinda a 2 for 1 subject.....so using a deep depth of field will ensure both flower and butterfly are in focus....and a fast shutter speed to capture their fluttering wings....but all these tips are subject to change for each individual situation.... and please take my advise with a grain of salt as i am quite the amateur......these are just my experiences.....have fun....and click alot!!!!
