Hopefully I'm doing this correctly. I took this this past weekend at the zoo, I like it, but I'm not in love with it. Should I do more photo shop on it to try and get it looking better, or is there something else I should have changed to get a really great shot?

I think it is a good image, although I would have shot in portrait as you have cut his tail in half. I would also up the contrast just a bit but it is personal taste

Did you shoot through glass?

It was through a smeared glazed over thick plasticy looking giant window, I have this one but I don't like it as much, probably just because of what it is doing in each photo maybe?
