Default Happy Giraffe

This is a picture I took whilst on a safari tour in Thailand.

Camera: Canon 450D
Exposure: 1/160sec
ISO: 100
F-stop: f/10

Cool that you got so close. Is there anything in particular you'd like people to critique? Personally, I think the colors on the giraffe seem a little muted and his face is a little dark (though I'm on a crappy work monitor, so who knows).

When you get a chance, you should check the forum guidelines and edit your post to clarify what you want people to weigh in on.

I'm no expert, but imo I would like to see this in portrait mode. You would see a little more of the neck and less of the leaves on the right side. I find the leaves distracting. If it was possible I would have moved to the right for a different POV and eliminated the leaves altogether. Having said all that,I know that sometimes you just have to take the shot when you can.Wildlife aren't cooperative and just won't wait for you to get the perfect shot. Thats why we have photoshop, sometimes a little tweeking makes all the difference.
