My Hummingbird Sitting

I shot this with a Nikon D200 with a 70-300 f4.5 at 300mm F16 1/250 sec and ISO of 640
I am wondering if there is a better way to set it up so that I can also freeze the wings in motion while in flight? Also any suggestions on how to frame these type shots to get the best picture.
