I caught this horse colt testing the yucca blooms. It was mid-day (harsh lighting, I know! )I would just appreciate some general critique. I'm a self-learner and just trying to learn more! Thanks yall! Camera: Nikon D60 Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/640) Aperture: f/11.0 Focal Length: 200 mm Focal Length: 201.6 mm ISO Speed: 800 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire |

i am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination.....but i would lower your iso to 100 and maybe using a polarizing filter would help too.....but to me the subject more than makes for any technical flaws there may be....too cute for words....i love horses

I had my camera on an auto setting, and i cant tell you which one at this point. This definitely helps me though. I really need to venture out of my comfort zone and play with the adjustments more!
