Default Bird in motion

I took a picture of the bird and this is how it came out. I always thought a picture of birds in motion must be very sharp. This picture is not totally sharp because of the bird moving, but i must admit i very much like that shot.

Canon EOS Kiss X3
f/5.6
1/60 sec
ISO 400
Focal length 225 mm

you should use a faster shutter speed to stop the motion of your subject....like 1/200 or faster..... play with the faster shutter speeds and see what works best for you....take lots of shots...to get that 'frozen' look....but i like the blur and the sense of movement with this shot...i like it as it is..... maybe some others would not...my personal preference....good job...

This is definitely an interesting concept, and I do like the photo. What does bother me is that the subject's hand has bright nail polish in different colors. Just as a viewer, it seems distracting to me as I look at this photo, and conceptually, I also find it distracting. The painted fingernails seem so 'modern' and 'unnatural' in a photo in which you're trying to capture a piece of nature.

You know what I mean?

It's still a nice shot, though!
