Default Polly wants a cracker

Just recently got a dslr camera and would like your input on this picture I took. I think the composition is decent, but would love constructive criticism. Thanks

Beautiful bird!
The biggest thing that bothers me is the space behind its head. I'd try cropping it down tighter both in the back as well as inthe front

Beautiful macaw and a nice capture. I agree with windrider that a tighter crop would make this shot even better.
