I'm a natural light kind of shooter I try not to use flash at all. Did I sacrifice anything shooting this in ISO 3200?

I like it. Seldom do I see such bird in this kind of pose. The texture of the feather is so vivid.

No you didn't! I like the shot very much!
I also like how you incorporated the texture of the feathers and solved the background to blend harmoniously with the bird.
About the pose, although it is unique, I don't know how well it works, since someone might not understand what it is or what it is doing. I'd prefer if you would capture its portrait right before going in, or milliseconds after getting out.

Anyhow, it's a great shot!
