I took this of my cat, Gertie, today. She likes to hang out on the window sill, and there was a soft light coming in from the window, so I tried to use it to my advantage. I inadvertently chopped off part of her ear, but I was wondering if you all thought it was distracting, or if the focal point of the eyes makes up for it. Any other suggestions are welcome, as well

I think the focus and the lighting are excellent and I love the angle of the pose. It is a shame you nicked the ear, it does appear as a mistake. The good thing is you can take it again.

Other than the ear, an excellent photograph.
