Default Bird by the Bay

I like this photo because it illustrates a blend of nature and city life kind of. What do you think?

Excellent. I just left the Tampa Clearwater area, you can make beautiful pictures there!

i like it but i wish the negative space was in front of the bird rather than behind him. maybe a recrop?

I totally agree with this. The bird kind of gets lost. your eyes are drawn more to the block sticking out of the water. But still cool...

I like the contents of the picture - especially the pelican - you nailed him. Perhaps next time you have an opportunity for a similar picture, take a little time to recompose. Using the photography "rule of thirds" and "looking into the frame", the pelican would have been primary. Now, my eye is drawn to the skyline, not the bird. Of course, if the skyline was meant to be primary, then you made the right shot, but it's the pelican that is in focus.
