When I look at this, my attention goes directly to the bird. My personal opinion would be that more color in the background would take away from him. I like it the way it is.I'm sure someone with more knowledge can give you more technical advice, but that's my two cents.

Nice shot PasChat!

My only critique would be that the background is a little distracting to me. Maybe use a larger aperature next time so that there's less depth of field and only the bird is in focus. That would also give you a faster shutter speed so that the bird is really frozen in air.

I would probably use a levels adjustment layer and darken the background even more. Maybe even clone out some of the brighter areas. Its a great shot, which means the focus needs to be all on the bird!

well first of all let me say that ur nickname is really cool & creative :P
second, my personal opinion & critic abt ur shot is:
i think an additional subject may hv given some more taste to it, & if so the pigeon shld not be centered.
as for the background, i wldnt hv made it brighter, but i wld hv defenitly made it "greener", coz the background looks pale & unidentified.
otherwise, it is a nice shot, i appreciate the effort & patience u put in it. hope to catch up soon
