Default Cat...under exposed?

The critique section has quickly become my favorite place on the site. Here's a picture I took of a friends cat. I was wondering if this looked under exposed? Over all is this a good shot and if not what could I have done to improve it? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Camera: Nikon D5000
F-stop: f/5.3
Exposure time: 1/60 sec.
ISO-800
Focal Length: 45mm
Flash Mode: No flash

My best guess is it's about 1/2 - 1 stop under. I played a little with it in PS... levels or curves will bring it up nicely. Cute cat

Auto- Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it. I did a little boosting of the levels and curves per your suggestion and I do think it helped make the picture pop a little more. What do you think? Does this one look better?

I think it's near perfect... some might prefer it to be lighter,... like 'auto-focus' says... maybe a tiny bit darker in PS... otherwise a great shot.
