Default squirrel on the diag

_MG_0209

canon 50d
iso 100
f/5.6
1/250 sec

Took this on the diag at my university when it crawled up towards me (they are use to being fed by the students here). Didn't know if I should crop it at all so I just left it as it is.

I think this is too cute!

I wouldn't crop it. In fact, you may want to try some PP and include a blur here to make him look more like he is 'moving.'

Default My 2 cents

Great moment, great capture, great creativity and great luck

All things are great in the image except this little fact about "balance". Thought I am hightly inexperienced to comment, and I also understand the challenges to capture these speedy-naughty friends :P. but I would request you to please consider the large vacant place on the left of the image.

Also, if you are keen on keeping the hoizon in the image, consider straightening a bit.

I think it is an awesome picture. While knowing the technical aspects of photography are important, religious adherence to these aspects can take the joy out of picture taking. The color is vibrant and the image is clear. The lines in the photo are not distracting to me at all, but actually lead right the the focus of the photograph. I love it. Good job. By chance are you a University of Michigan Student? The reference to the diag is why I ask...(I'm an alum)
