Well I just took this recently, I love the fact that someone came and got me when they saw it.
I also love the fact that I am new, and can get some great critique from photographers.

So far the comments have been good.

Do you have anything specific you'd like to ask?

I commend you on getting so close to the lil bugger. However, I am not sold on the crop you have chosen. Both the body and the wings are cut off. If it were me, I would have chosen to keep the wings in the photo

I kind of like the crop. It says "Yeah, so what about my wings? Check out my badass head!" It's definitely different than a lot of dragonfly shots.

I wish the concrete it is sitting on wasn't so blown out.

Lovely! Looks like a piece of modern art. I'd probably have liked to see the whole of it though, wingtip to wingtip. But that's just my opinion. Did you take this in macro-mode by the way?

I really like the crop. We all know what a dragonfly looks like. This photograph hones in on details that are interesting and surprising.
