Default Meerkat at the Zoo............

I took this through a semi-clean glass................No matter where I shot this pic, the background would have been the same color. Any opinion would be appreciated.

Nikon D5000

1/750 sec.

auto white balance
70-200mm vr

Hmm, I like his little paw and his expression. Still, I think I actually like the other one that you've got on your flickr page (just the guy's head). It reads "meerkat" better than this shot, which looks like "furry little animal." Could just be me, though.

Anyway, good composition on this and his face does have a really interesting stare. I wonder if making it B&W would change it up a bit. You're right about that background- there is just so much orange/brown in this shot.
