I like it when people on here say what kind of criticism they're looking for. Generally, if someone says "Hey, what do you think?" I'm going to be fairly positive. Since you've asked for something other than positive, I'm happy to oblige. That said, it's still a very nice shot!
I have two minor complaints about this shot. #1 - I don't like that little piece of junk floating in the water on the left. Nothing you can do, but still, it bugs me. It's on the top 3rd and that other duckling is staring at it. It's created a 2nd focal point in the picture, which is taking away from the little guy up front and his adorable looking face. #2 - The big dark feather on mama duck. It's about twice as big as our little hero's head, and it's got some light hitting it which is drawing my attention over to it. So basically, this shot has 3 focal points (cute little duck, curious duck in background, and big shiny feather). The cute hero duck is still the main focal point, which is good. Still, I wish there weren't those other small details tugging at my attention. Anyway, as I said, it's still a very nice shot and I really like it. There isn't much you could have personally done better with it. |
