Default RE: Butterfly shot

Hello this is my first time to post in this section. I guess I need more advices to improve my skills in photography. In this case, what I want to ask if I have the correct exposure, composition, or anything you can spot that needs to be improved...Thank you in advance.

EXIF DATA:
focal length: 50
aperture: f/4.5
shutter speed: 5.907
iso: 100
flash: did not fire
white balance: auto
canon eos 10D

Here is the picture:

Lovely colors, and I think exposure on the butterfly is fine, although I am confused with the blown out part on the bottom left how come it's shaped like that??
And i'd prefer a tighter crop, the big leaf on the right distracts me from the butterfly,so a real tight crop might be better in focusing the attention on it and will help remove the blown out part.
Oh and btw,is it a typo or was the shutter speed really 5 seconds?

Im not sure with the shutter speed I, myself is confused since I just copy it from the EXIF data. By the way, I used aperture priority...That blown out part possibly the sun rays, I really need to use a filter maybe next time. I cropped it to make it tighter..Here is the edited one:
