New to this . Tried to get as close as I could without disturbing these baby Robins . Too many shadows?

A lovely image. Could be a little more light on the subject, can you bounce light into the jar???

I agree there should be more light on the subject, but also everything around the subjects is somewhat distracting. Maybe play with the focus and really stress the fact that the birds are the subject

By any chance do you know what your camera settings (exif) were?

Dont know the settings as i just grabbed the opportunity when it arose sorry . I suppose if i had thought I could have shone a torch in to get better light but access was severely restricted and i didnt want to unsettle anything . I think with a bit more experience i could have really grabbed a cracker.
