Stray cat

I took this shot today with my 500mm f8 mirror lens. Hand-held, 1/800", ISO800.

I kind of like the painterly effect and didn't want to saturate or contrast this one too much. What do you think? Is it uninteresting?

Did you add a post processing texture or is that more or less out of the camera?

that's out of the camera, I just boosted the contrast and brightness a bit. no textures added.

I don't know yet ;-)

It's bad weird in that it draws attention to it, and thus away from the cat. It's good weird in that the lens produces an interesting and characteristic result.

About the low contrast and saturation: I think it looks good like this!
