Default up close and personal with my dog

Focal Length: 200 mm
ISO Speed: 1000
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash

Have not taken a lot of animal pictures and caught her sleeping one night on the kitchen floor so I snapped it.

Curious as to if its too close?

I'm guessing you went close to remove a distracting background. If that's the case then there isn't much choice, given the location. If possible, I think I would prefer it to be a little farther out. I do think it is too dark though. And I suspect the white balance wasn't set for this light as it looks quite orange. Good job on the focus if this was handheld. I ask because 1/6 at 200mm is really pushing it without a tripod..

I was actually laying on the ground... so this is hand held. Haven't really used a tripod much don't really care for them much, but I know I'm going to have to change my attitude on that.

To be honest, I had just bought my camera that day and pulled it out that night to play with it. Thought it was a neat shot of my doggie.

There was a lot of junk in the background so I zoomed in.
