Default Eastern Brown Pellican

Just looking for a general critique on this. Any suggestions are appreciated. The composition is not exactly what I wanted but I was worried about this one flying away before I got a good shot.
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 105 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash

Large
Thanks for looking.

Good focus on the pelican's eye and nice use of the vertical. I wish the feathers on the top of his head were against the darker background rather than the white sky - would provide them with a bit more definition and given this cool dude some more character. I like the slightly off-centre framing you've given this shot as well. Well done.

Looks very good to me. Maybe you could just make the colours a bit more vibrant.
