I think the composition is interesting, but looking on your Flickr page there are much betters ones. The line running across the middle of the shot (reflection, power line?) is unpleasant, and the white region at the top I don't like too much either. Perhaps crop it?
Hope that helps. AB

hope you don't mind, I cropped the image to take away the bright sky, with that out of the way for some reason I don't see the power line so much, perhaps because the dog now takes up more of the shot.
As for taking it away in PS, I'm not the person to be asking really (still a newbie too), perhaps someone with more experience can pitch in? AB

Hey I like the original image except for that white area. I cropped it, used the clone tool, blurred it, added some texture, and burned it. I like some of the other on your Flickr more actually!
Hope you like my revise. Dog HQ copy.jpg Update: Now looking back at it, maybe you should make the crop not as tight a little bit to the right and up, but only a little not a ton.

I rather like the expanse of distance and would be reluctant to crop out any of it - but that line across is the problem and needs you to zoom in really really close and do some magic with the clone tool!
Your shot does tell a story of the dog wishing it was out there chasing rabbits or just being free! AJ |

Ah, definitely an improvement!
