Do you have any specific questions. I like the picture, especially the colors.

Colors, light and detail look good to me.

Maybe try a portrait crop instead of landscape? And cropping it tighter, with a subtle vignette, would help focus attention on the bird.

Also, cutting off a bit of the bird's tail feathers is a bit of a distraction. Is there room left in the original to add that back in?

Sorry chip, i have to disagree with the colors and detail part.

gbmax, if you take the time to review your histograms(RGB), you will see they are not even. When this happens , you have a color cast. This will also rob you of alot of detail, because some of the channels are under-exposed.(or over exposed depending on the image)

To fix this , adjust the levels of each channel . Make shure you set the layer to value or you will get some really wild colors.

A touch oversharpened, but you get the idea. I also cloned out a couple things. You might even want to clone out the branch crossing the tail

with a mild vignette like chip sugested.

With a little work you can still make a nice image out of it, even though you clipped the tail a little. Give these tips a try and post up YOUR version. I'd be interested in seeing it.

I like it well enough, but the eye could use some selective sharpening.
