Default Release Me

When I took this photo, the dog was jumping and barking.

Release Me

I like the photo, but something seems off.
What would you change? or do differently?

I think one thing that makes it difficult is that you have a white dog up next to a white path and a white house. (S)He just doesn't stand out from the background that well...

You could clone out the house and the path...and the power lines...would be awesome then. It's a great title.

Hi, this is my first time replying to a request for Critique.

I totally agree with the white subject against white background makes it hard to see. Cloning out the house would be a bit much, cloning out the power line however is doable and IMO would greatly improve the dynamics of the dog's movement. (If you clone out the power line, also clone out the post).

You could try and darken the house a bit, either with the burn tool or with an adjustment layer with a mask (if you have PS).

The dog is exposed well (IMHO), the house seems blown out. The house is so light, that my eye went there first.

If I were faced with a similar shot, after seeing this one, I'd try to open up the aperture a bit more and see if it would improve with a shallower DOF and I'd also move around to try and see how other angles work.

HTH
