My first post on this forum. Here's a photograph of an Indian Roller - a fairly common bird found here in India.

I like the picture, but I feel there might be too much dark area to the right. If you *must* follow the rule of thirds (and you don't have to), I would place the bird's head/eye at the top 1/3 and centered (aproximately).

Hi Niranj..... just to put a different spin on it...... Strangely enough, I like the darker side of the shot.... adds a bit of intrigue and gives the roller space to move into. I don't feel that it detracts from the shot because the colours are so vivid that ones eye is continually drawn back to the bird.
The roller is crisp and well lighted, and good on ya for getting the light spot in the eye. A good clear crisp shot with maybe just a tad too much darkness on the right, but not worth losing sleep over. thanks for sharing Regards
