Default Red Front Macaw

IMG_0652

These particular macaws are housed behind a piano-wire screen. I have to focus through the wires. You can see the opposite side of the exhibits wire behind the bird. To me the photos are still not very clear. How do you get the clarity when having to focus past the wire?

I think the blurriness is due to your slow shutter speed. At 135mm you should probably be closer to 1/200 to get a clear shot handheld, maybe a little less if the lens has IS.

Thank you. I will try that. The lens has IS so I will start with 1/200 and work down from there.
