Default swan on snow

Hi!
This is my first post on DPS, and it's also the first picture in my 365projekt.
I'm new to this photographing stuff, and would love some feedback.
There's a fair amount on post on this, because it was kind of a, jump of the bike and shoot, type of picture. But I think it's turned out alright.
What do you think?

I like the composition, but it looks a tad under exposed and like the white balance is of because the snow looks blue. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to DPS.

I agree with the above. It looks somewhat underexposed. You needed to dial in some exposure compensation in order to over-ride your cameras tendancy to darken an all-white scene.

The white balance is way off - it looks purple to me.

Thanks, for the feedback.
I've fixed the things you talked about..
I also calibrated my new monitor. It was a bit off..

Is it better?

Thanks,
Anders

Thanks for the feedback
It's weird how you can stare youself blind on a picture sometimes

I've lighten it up, and corrected the white balance a bit. I tried posting the new picture a couple of days ago, but it hasn't showed up? but anyway, you can see it at this link Photo of swan on snow rev - Snapixel

I know the snow is still a bit blueish, but I think it looks a bit dull when I turn it completly white. I that just me?? I still new to whis photography stuff, but i'm a illustrator, and I don't mind if it isn't completly reallife true.. Is that wrong??

Thanks again,
Anders
