I really like it too. The light from above makes it more powerful for me. I can imagine someone sitting on the stool, looking at the light and trying to remember what it was like to be free...
Maybe a little lower angle would have emphasized the height of the ceiling? Maybe black and white could add more to the mood of the image? But still very impressive as is.
