I've thought about doing DIY. Then I think about the time and effort and trips to the store. Then I realize I could invest less time fixing up and selling a used computer and could simply buy the item and spend the extra time using it or looking online for the next purchase. :-)
I actually admire and have a lot of respect for the creativity I've seen with DIY. I know I'd probably get a rush after building something and then using it and having it work. But I'll stick to what I do best and enjoy doing what I love, which are computers and photography.
