Default help! new to lightroom & printing!

Hello! This is my first time posting in the message boards, though I've been lurking for quite a while.

I recently started using Lightroom and have found it to be quite intuitive. Until now. I just selected a few photos to export and received this message:

The photo “gallery-3.jpg” could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?

What do you recommend I do in this situation?

On a semi-related note, I need to size my photos to 8 x 10 and am confused as to how to go about doing this without cropping the photo or distorting the picture. I typically size my photos to post online and haven't had to do a lot of printing. Would it be best to resize them in Photoshop or is it possible to do it in Lightroom? If this has been discussed in a previous thread, feel free to post a link to that thread.

Thank you SO much for your help!
