I too have crummy eyes, so when using our 30D or 350D it's manual focus for me 80% of the time. My wife uses AF 100% of the time, but she's got WAY better eyes than me. When we get a 5D, I'll MF everything except for birds, or use full-time manual focus on USM lenses.
