Thank you for the tutorial, i have always wondered how these kind of photos are made.
I made an attempt, and thought i would try it with some coins on the bottom of the water (wishing well style), and realised that the splashes are much bigger when you throw in a coin than a drop of water. I'm not quite happy with my attempts, but here is one of them:
