This is somewhat off topic but I agree with you to a certain extent. Although, I've been to other websites where the critiques are extremely picky about every little thing that makes a certain picture not worthy of being hung in a Gallery. Is that what we want here on DPS? Watching this forum grow over the past year I've often wondered if it wouldn't be beneficial to have someone give those kinds of critiques. It would change the whole dynamics of the critique section though. I believe that some people just want to know what others think of their pics. "If I were to hang this in my home, would others appreciate it, or is it just me?", kind of question.

I agree dave...and actually I think it should be members opinions and not critique. Critique implies knowledge will back up statements and sometimes doesnt.
