I shoot a lot of surf shots. Usually I'm never in sight of my jeep or truck, and I'm always paranoid of someone ripping off the rest of my gear. For a while I'd just wrap my camera up in a towel, and carry it in a duffel bag. Then I worried about locking up the brakes, and having it launch into the dash. A few times I'd just empty everything out of my bag, and just take what I was going to use, but that became a hassle. So I decided to make a box that wood fit my body, 1.4 TC, and 300 f/4 lens, which is what I shoot surf with.
Definitely ghetto, but the camera, and lens are well protected. Just toss in a few SD cards, and I can shoot without worries.
