Haha you got an eye for it for sure. This was his first time playing with her so there definitely was no connection between them like your saying, which is unfortunate and I think she was reading lyrics haha.

Unfortunately with the layout of the building and the way people were seated I had no way to get to a much better angle.

I guess I was just trying to capture the fact that an Older man wanted to play with the Young girl. I also wanted to to kind feel like she's playing though him perhaps. granted with the way you picked it apart it did its job in telling a story =)

I shot it hand held (broke my tripod and dont have the cash to replace it just now) in a dimly lit room with a lot of light outside. So the fact thats its a soft focus was intentional because I couldn't get it as sharp as I would have liked.

Oh well you win some you lose some. I still think it's a decent photo =)
