Are you SURE? Most of those "shoot lots, hope some buy" type operations aren't that sophisticated. Not in amusement parks, not in athletic stadiums. The process of generating a unique code for each photo or set of photos is daunting at that scale.

That said, if there IS such a system in place, I could use it for some of the events I run and would love some information if there is any to be had.

Currently, I group galleries from some mass events by color in blocks of 50. I name my files in camera; Red, Grn, Yel, Blu etc and shoot a group before changing the name. I have sets of 50 cards made up with a colored dot on them and instructions to access the main gallery, then the gallery with the color of the dot.

That doesn't keep anyone from seeing photos other than their own though and for what I do at least, that isn't really a concern.
